We're Sorry Mario, Your Drink Doesn't Just Go On The Table!

If you have been a fan of the channel for any point in time you know that I have a definite passion for 3D printing. I love to design different things that are both useful and practical. As I prepare to attend the Utah Retro Game Swap for the first time, I want to bring something unique with me that I've never had at any show before. The more I thought about it the more I knew I wanted to do something for in the living room, and then it hit me. Coasters! Let's take a look at the coaster set that I have designed and will be selling on-site at the Utah Retro Game Swap, and will be on my 3D printer site soon.

Each set comes with nine total coasters and a coaster holder. Each coaster features a different character or item from the Super Mario series of games. There's Paper Mario, Paper Luigi, Paper Peach, the power-up mushroom, the invincibility star, question block, Yoshi, Mario silhouette, and the moon sprite. Each one of these is inset into the face of the coaster itself and really gives each piece its own personality.

One of the things I did with the set was I also printed the coasters using multiple colors. Peach is pink, Luigi and Yoshi are green, the 2 Marios are red, the question block, invincibility star, and Moon are all yellow, you get that sort of thing. I wanted something that not only had different shapes but different colors to represent what you were looking at.

To keep things neat and organized, I actually took and designed a tower that looks like it's right out of the Mushroom Kingdom. It holds all nine coasters beautifully within it, so that way you have a wonderful conversation piece that helps you keep everything neat and organized.

As I mentioned, I will have these for sale at the Utah Retro Game Swap on September 9th. I'm bringing four sets of these, and they will be available for sale on my website shortly after the show.
