Certain conservative members of the House are cautiously observing Speaker Kevin McCarthy as he intensifies his rhetoric regarding a possible impeachment inquiry of President Biden. They are concerned that he may be strategically dangling this suggestion over their heads in order to secure more flexibility in the ongoing negotiations surrounding government spending.

"It's as if the Speaker is using the possibility of launching an impeachment inquiry to pressure individuals into voting for a clean continuing resolution or other spending proposals that deviate from the initial agreement we made when we pledged our support for him as Speaker in January," stated Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., in a conversation with Fox News Digital on Tuesday.
