Drunk Driving Cop Arrested and Goes on Tirade

In 2021, Medina Township police responded to a call about a motor vehicle accident on private property. The officers arrived at the scene, making contact with the suspect, an intoxicated Elaina Ciacchi who goes on one of the craziest verbal tirades against. Ciacchi WAS a off-duty 10-year veteran of the Cleveland police force at the time. Ciacchi was arrested due to her high level of intoxication while driving.

Ciacchi later pleaded no contest to drunken driving and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, one year on probation and a 30-month driver’s license suspension. She was also ordered to pay an $875 fine and $3,726 in restitution for the property damage she caused.

It was Ciacchi’s second drunken driving conviction in six years. She pleaded no contest to the charge in 2014 in Berea Municipal Court. In that case, she was sentenced to one year on probation and a $500 fine.

Ciacchi was later fired from the force.
