2. A time of merciless persecution of Catholics had descended upon Nicomedia, with 33 faithful souls facing denunciation and chains before the Emperor's tribunal.

3. Defiant before their tormentors, these martyrs engaged in polemical exchanges, displaying unwavering faith and nobility of spirit.

4. Despite their suffering, they challenged the judge's assertions, proclaiming that each torment would only add to their heavenly crowns while he would face eternal consequences for his cruelty.

5. Galerius, the successor to Diocletian, ordered fresh torments. Stones struck the martyrs about their mouths, yet their resolve remained unbroken.

6. Unfazed by their steadfastness, Galerius imprisoned them in the hope of breeding fear and apostasy.

7. Among the witnesses was Adrian, a high-ranking dignitary, who, witnessing their unwavering resolve, was illuminated to renounce paganism and join their ranks.

8. Adrian's wife, Natalie, hastened to the prison upon hearing of her husband's conversion, offering words of benediction and support.

9. In a final act of barbarity, Adrian endured the severing of his limbs with an anvil, his spirit unbroken.

10. These martyrs, marked by their polemical spirit, unshakable faith, and defiance, challenged their persecutors. Adrian's conversion, Natalie's unwavering support, and the martyrs' resilience showcased the triumph of faith in the face of adversity, serving as a timeless lesson in unwavering devotion to God's will.
