Fear is not an excuse for your dog’s aggressive behaviors. While it may be the cause, it doesn’t excuse them of having to act safely around the things they are afraid of. Without corrections creating a firm and clear boundary with your dog, you’re at the mercy of whether or not your dog decides they want to make the right choice or not around the things that trigger them. That’s an extremely nerve wracking position to be in, especially when it comes to the safety of other dogs and people.
