Pagan Patriots: We Remember 9/11

For the generation before mine, the attack on Pearl Harbor was a pivotal moment in history. The President proclaimed that the date of the attack, December 7, 1941 CE (Yule 7, 2191 RE), is a date which will forever live in infamy. The attack on the Twin Trade Towers in New York City is another event so horrendously momentous people will always remember where they were and what they were doing when they first heard the news.
September 11, 2001 CE (Shedding 11, 2251 RE) will also be a date which will forever live in infamy. Americans vowed to never forget. Those of us with integrity still have not forgotten, and never will. But there are those for whom the concept of honor is so incomprehensible that they trivialize if not forget 9/11. There are those so enamored of an alien destructive ideology that they sympathize more with those who committed this atrocity than they do with fellow Americans who were victims of the attack. 2,996 were killed during the attack, and thousands more were injured. Congress declared that September 11 will be Patriots Day, and a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
