'PizzaGate Update: Pope Francis ATTACKS TRUTHERS, DEFENDS PEDOS' - 2017

"Pope Francis is now attacking Western voters, just after he sparked outrage after lowering penalties for priests who have abused children, arguing that this change fit his vision of a more 'merciful church'. The Pope reduced several penalties down from defrocking, to lesser punishments such as a lifetime of prayer, or penance.

While some priests do face criminal punishment in addition to the church's own penalties, many of these crimes have happened beyond the statute of limitations, and penalties imposed by the church sometimes become the only form of punishment for such crimes, are these lesser penalties enough for priests who have abused their power by harming children, do they stand in the way of criminal justice, and do these actions suggest that the pope values mercy for offenders above justice for victims?
