Escaped prisoner: PM thanks public after terror suspect arrested

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said he is "very pleased" with the news that police have captured terror suspect Daniel Khalife.

Speaking from the G20 summit in India, the prime minister thanked police and the public.

"My thanks to the police officers for their work over the last couple of days and to the public who came forward with an enormous amount of leads to help the police with their enquiries," he said.

"It is good news that we have captured the person concerned.
