Prof. Clements and Todd Buffington Follow-up on Election Night Reporting Summit presentation

Follow up to Clements' Crime Bureau Summit report:

Draza's Cruise Control, O'Donnell's FoF and Daugherity's are basically describing the same thing. (Daugherity's explanations are the easiest to follow for me) Draza's analogy is they use a thermostat-type system to steer the vote ratio to a final predetermined percentage, say Trump 45% to Biden 55%. But the system for thermostats is in fact a PID controller, and this ballot voting mechanism is too, so it's not just an analogy. To get to the final ratio they need to get the current vote to a set point, and just hold that set point in a straight line to the final ratio, like your heater holds at 68 after reaching it. The 68 in this analogy isn't the final vote ratio itself, it's the number that pilots you in from the set point to the final ratio.

The Pulitzer-Oltmann-Professor Clements fight is nonsense IMO and you can see here toward the end that Buffington takes Jovan's work seriously.
