Our goal is to reduce aggressive behavior

Suppression is what allows us to get control of our dog’s aggressive behaviors more quickly. Without it, we are at the mercy of dogs while trying to counter condition through intense and dangerous behaviors. That is a HUGE risk. Suppression does not totally eliminate behavior at first, it has to be used in combination with counter conditioning in order to address the real cause and build the dog’s confidence. But, allows all of that to be done is a safer manner for other dogs and people. Any way that we can reduce the aggression is the safest option for our dogs.
