Nidhogg Level 1 No Upgrades All 9 Burdens Starter Gear Only No Relic or Rage New Game+ GMGOW+

When you don't upgrade weapons you miss out on the stats the upgrade gives but more importantly you lose out on skills. That means my Axe and Blades only have level one skills. The Spear starts at level 5 when you get it so I only have the level 5 skills for it. Since I use only the starter gear I use the Survival set and the Guardian Shield which is level 4 when you get it back from the Dwarfs.

This fight has difficulty to it if you want to do it in a single segment as I did here. Its also very scripted so you are limited in what you can do. However once you learn the moves it becomes rather easy. I did have something weird happen this time I fought this boss. When she summons the spikes through the realm tears I found myself randomly getting hit when I did normal dodges. I don't know why since I never had that problem before but that's why I was using X+R1 evade to dodge them.

In this fight I used all 9 Burdens and all the starter gear. I did this fight again with all 9 Burdens and all the Spartan gear including the Aspis shield. I think I am going to do that for most fights. You can go a lot harder with the starter gear because of the Guardian shield being a easier to use shield.
