Surah Al-Isra (Arabic: الإسراء‎) is the 17th chapter of the Quran. It is titled in English as "The Night Journey" and it consists of 111 verses.
The surah begins with the story of the Night Journey, in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was miraculously transported from Mecca to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, he ascended to heaven and met with earlier prophets, including Moses and Jesus.
The surah then goes on to discuss a variety of topics, including the importance of prayer, the prohibition of adultery, and the punishment of those who reject Allah. It also emphasizes the importance of good deeds and warns against evil.
