Making a set of machinery skates - Part 1/2

I've been wanting a better way to move heavy machines around in my shop. Typically, I would use 1" black pipe as rollers, but in many case, a set of machine skates would be easier. I want to make these so they are steerable, and will handle the weight of any machines in my shop.
