Yamaha is mailing buyers First Class to notify them of the issue. Ignition Coils may be energized while the main switch is turned on due to faulty ECU software programming. This issue could cause an ignition spark that might ignite unburned fuel inside the combustion chamber, possibly damaging the intake and manifold, while also increasing the risk of fire!
