Mask Mandate Redux

It seems like both a lifetime ago and at the same time, it seems like just yesterday. As strange as it may seem, it was only four months ago that the final Mask Mandate in Washington State actually ended.

Now here we are, a few months later and the talk of the town is whether or not to bring the mask mandates back… again…

Now… there is a great deal of outrage at and resistance to the idea. Those of us on the political Right believe that this is an outrageous idea with little more than political ideology behind it. Those pushing the idea are claiming that it is a necessary health precaution in the face of “surging” Covid-19 cases and virus mutations.

Like so many things, what you believe about the matter says more about you than it does an actual facts or data. And even those are now a part of the discussion, focusing on whether or not said data is the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth?

Is it possible that BOTH sides are using the potential for new mask mandates as a device for making political points?
