Random Rants: WGA/Showrunner Meeting Set For Friday As Countdown To Losing Scripted TV Season Looms!

The WGA/showrunners meeting is back on, set for this Friday, September 15. As Hollywood enters day 134 of the WGA writers' strike, things are heating up behind the scene. Showrunners are fielding concerns from crewmembers such as props, grips, hair/makeup, construction, etc, who have been heavily affected by the work stoppage. Not only that, but the deadline of October 1 to get scripted TV shows into production or lose the entire 2023-24 season looms over the industry. Hollywood will be watching this Sept 15 showrunner meeting with great interest.
