It doesn't matter who rules the US, the imperial mindset is backed deep, deep into the US. Carlson and Trump want to get out of Ukraine for the US to get tough on China and they have no problem whatsoever of just calling dips on an entire hemisphere and call for US control over Panama, the Caribbean, etc. Even after 200 years, the Monroe Doctrine reigns supreme.
