DON McLEAN - THE BEST OF - 60'S 70'S

Don McLean, born October 2, 1945 in New Rochelle (New York), is an American singer-songwriter. He is best known for being the author of the ballad American Pie (1971).

He is also the author and performer, in 1971, of Vincent, a song dedicated to the post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. “Starry, starry night”, the first lyrics of the song, are a reference to the painting Starry Night.
