Visiting Lisbon Portugal - Part 1

I recently had to take a trip to Lisbon, Portugal... a quick trip from where I live in Braga. I wanted to take some time to show you the experience of someone staying there not necessarily as a tourist... yet still enjoying some of the sights around Lisbon. Here in part 1, I'll show you arriving in Lisbon by train at the Santa Apolonia station and how to get a ticket for the Lisbon metro/transportation system. Afterward, we'll head over to my hotel room and then visit a Portuguese supermarket... or rather a mini-market right in the heart of Lisbon. This isn't a tour of Lisbon per-se, but more sharing my experience as an expat living in Portugal. As someone living in Braga but not having visited Lisbon in more than a decade, it was great to get to travel to Lisbon to be able to compare and contrast, as well as to see how much things have changed in Portugal's largest city... as far as population goes. You can easily get to this area of Lisbon by metro, the station is called Baixa-Chiado and or you could also get off at Restauradores or Rossio. It's a direct metro trip from the Santa Apolonia station in Lisbon.
