POW: Ukrainian serviceman surrendered in the first battle

▫️ A prisoner of war AFU serviceman Anatoly Palakhay said that he was mobilised and sent to the front lines without any proper medical examination.

▫️ He and several other recruits were put into an APC, taken to an unknown location and given the task of entrenching themselves in a nearby forest. No other tasks were given.

▫️ The next day, Russian troops began shelling positions with artillery. The command didn’t respond, and no one could back the Ukrainian servicemen up.

▫️ After assessing their chances of survival, a group of Ukrainian servicemen unanimously decided to surrender.
