Journal Entry .... Day 5 through 6

I found myself looking for scraps of food in the town just down the road from where my small hut is. While I was out on my travels I heard footsteps behind me, I took out my pistol, I had my finger on the trigger ready for anything. As the footsteps got close towards me all I could hear was "PLEASE DON'T SHOOT" As he held his hands up shaking with fear I lowered my weapon. We set up a campfire near by and started to talk . As the hours went by he told me a group of bandits have been making a name for themselves in the area and that they have been taking people and there guard dogs. I can't shake this feeling of what the survivor told me ( sigh ) something needs to be done, but what what? . . . .
