Building Under Bus Storage Bay from Scratch! Part 2 - Center Support

To transfer the weight of everything we store in the underbay to the frame of the bus as directly as possible, we needed a center support that bolts directly to the frame. This center support carries roughly half the weight of the underbay and loads it directly to the driver's side frame rail. The reason I only used one asymmetric support is that the layout of the bus favors the passenger side and I needed to balance out the weight as best I could using the underbay. It also allows me to store larger items and work in the underbay more easily because i have roughly 5' by 10' of open floorspace in the passenger side underbay.
