Commenting on a possible decision to supply Ukraine with Taurus missiles, Pistorius said: "If it takes another week or two to decide, then so be it... Germany must exercise a high degree of caution, even if it is difficult for our Ukrainian friends to understand."
Prior to this decision, members of the German Bundestag had written to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius demanding that Ukraine be given long-range Taurus missiles.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that the supply of Taurus missiles from Germany to Ukraine is only a "matter of time".
