Russell Brand, the actor and comedian known for his provocative antics in the 2000s, is facing serious allegations of rape, sexual assault, and abuse by four women during the peak of his career, as revealed in an investigation conducted by several prominent British news outlets.

In a preemptive response to the forthcoming article in the Sunday Times, Brand vehemently denied the allegations in a video released a day before the publication. The investigative collaboration involved the Sunday Times, its affiliated paper the Times, and Channel 4, which aired a segment on Brand shortly after the article's release.

Brand, while not specifying the exact nature of the allegations, stated, "Amidst this litany of astonishing and rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute."
