British news outlets, including The Sunday Times, The Times of London, and Channel 4's "Dispatches," have reported allegations against comedian and social influencer Russell Brand. Four women who knew him during a seven-year period at the height of his fame have accused him of rape, sexual assault, and abuse.

Russell Brand has vehemently denied these allegations, emphasizing that all of his relationships were consensual. The accusers came forward after being contacted by reporters, with some attributing their decision to Brand's increased prominence as an online wellness influencer.

Before the news stories were published, Brand released a video online addressing the allegations, which had been conveyed through "extremely disturbing letters" from a "mainstream media" television company and a newspaper. However, he did not disclose the names of the news organizations involved.
