I tasted Bulgur first time when I was 17 (around 28 years ago). I remember I thought it was lentils and could not understand how come it tastes that good. Since that I have come to love this Turkish dish. This dish reminds me of Briyani in the sense that the more fresh it is, the better it tastes.
Bulgur goes great with Tzatziki and other grill items as chicken and lamb. Enjoy!
