Papa (god) from "The Shack" wants all life on Earth Exterminated

At the 3:42 mark Apple says their aim (goal) is to permanently remove carbon from the atmosphere. Carbon is what you, me, and every animal produce each time we exhale. Does that mean everything has to cease to exist?
The forest, wetland and marshes they say they're planting will die since they need the carbon we exhale to exists.
