We shall never find rest in our souls until we have first learned the utter difference between Christ and ourselves, and that which follows: the utter impossibility of our ever being like Him through any means of ourself. There is nothing that WE can produce, or do to be more like Him. If you and I are ever going to come into that favor of Christ's life, it will be in and through Christ Jesus, never of ourselves (Hebrews 13:15).
