Representatives for the Republican Main Street Caucus and the House Freedom Caucus have come to an agreement on a stop-gap measure to keep the government funded, getting past a major hurdle for House Republicans in the appropriations process.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) accused the Department of Justice of using gun charges against Hunter Biden to "save face" because prosecutors had, so far, not indicted him for more serious crimes.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized former President Donald Trump for failing to fulfill his promise to investigate Hillary Clinton, indicating that he may fail to fulfill a similar promise he recently made for the 2024 election.
