I am doing part 2 as I have had more thoughts about this documentary.

The title ‘In Plain Sight’ in my opinion is trying to suggest that Russell Brand is like Jimmy Savile, in the fact that Jimmy Savile committed the crimes by openly saying he was a sex pest. This seems to be the suggestion they are trying to make with Russell Brand in this documentary. Indeed they also seem to later in the documentary try to connect Russell Brand with Jimmy Savile crimes with simply showing a clip of him being interviewed on his radio show. This in my opinion is very poor journalism and reminds me of the vids put on YouTube by conspiracy theorists.

Another point is the text Russell Brand is said to have sent simply says sorry, and this could be for anything. It is also interesting the reply the lady sends that we see for a frame or two before most of the text is blurred out leaving only a line or two of text for us to read, does not mention rape. It seems to talk about him not using a condom. One wonders why Dispatches chose to show the text out of context, and one then could question what else in the show have we been shown out of context.

But as I have stated, if I put on my tin foil hat, one could suggest this show was made to try to get Russell Brand’s YouTube channel closed and also to have him discredited. This way if people use him for reference, people will say your not a good person for listening to Russell Brand. The same tactics I would suggest have been used against Katie Hopkins, Andrew Tate and many others. By this you are deemed a fool or worse if you say you listen to them.
