Tim Ballard's departure from Operation Underground Railroad earlier this year followed an investigation into allegations of misconduct involving seven women, according to sources with direct knowledge of the organization.

Insiders with knowledge of the matter have revealed that the self-proclaimed anti-slavery advocate, who appears to be gearing up for a Senate campaign, would invite women to pose as his "wife" during undercover overseas missions. Ballard, portrayed by Jim Caviezel in the popular film Sound of Freedom, is reported to have sent at least one woman a photo of himself in underwear adorned with fake tattoos and asked another how far she was willing to go to save children, according to a source. These sources have requested anonymity due to concerns of potential reprisals.
