❓What Is The Sandbox ❓

The non-blockchain version of the game has been around on iOS and Android since 2012. Here’s the deal; it was damn popular with 40 million downloads and with 70 million worlds created.

That’s why it is the most highly anticipated crypto game out there.

In a short, the game is all about creating an immersive metaverse where players create virtual worlds and games collectively and without a central authority.

So how big are world building games? Well, Minecraft boasts 126 players and Roblox around 100 million. In my video, I go into the ways that the Sandbox aims to compete with these traditional gaming juggernauts.

Now, what are the components of the Sandbox ecosystem?

► Voxedit: Is a powerful 3D voxel modelling package, which allows users to create those in-game items and export them to the marketplace.
► Sandbox marketplace: which allows users to upload, publish and sell their creations made using VoxEdit, as both ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens.
► Game Maker: Allows anyone who owns Sandbox assets to place them within a piece of land.

🏞️ Lands 🏞️

LANDs are pieces of digital real estate within the Sandbox metaverse that players can buy to build experiences on top of. That means you can populate them with in-game assets to create unique gaming experiences.

The important thing to note is that each LAND is issued as an NFT that lives on the Ethereum blockchain. So yes, you have full control over them.

These assets have a capped supply of 166,464.

⚔️ In-Game Assets ⚔️

Different assets have different levels of rarity. Some only have one or two copies in the world, which means you can easily corner the market for certain in-game items. However, as the game is in closed-Alpha, you are unlikely to be flipping them to bank profit here anytime soon.

🏖️ SAND 🏖️

SAND is the utility token used throughout the Sandbox ecosystem and has three main use-cases:

► Acts as a medium of exchange
► Governance, which enables holders to participate in governance decisions.

The max supply of SAND is 3 billion tokens with a current circulating supply of under 600 million. That means that token holders can expect to see additional supply hitting the market in the future.

However, there are demand drivers for the token in the near future, with around $3.5 million worth of lands to be sold in the next public sale.

You need to be aware that Land investments won’t be as liquid as tokens. However, they are tradable on secondary NFT marketplaces.
