In this episode I sat down with Gilbert Burns to discuss his amazing rise from the back streets of Brazil to the UFC. Gilbert is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist, submission grappler and 3rd degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt athlete.

When Burns was young, his father offered to fix a customer's car in exchange for three months of jiu-jitsu lessons for all of his boys, the rest as they say is history. Burns went on to become a jiu-jitsu world champion having been a standout from his first lesson.

We dive deep into all the lessons Gilbert has learned throughout his journey and how you can become 1% better in all areas.
