The fire on Pilot Mountain, N.C.

November 27th 2021 Pilot Mountain was engulfed in flames. We were on our way back from Mount Airy's first nighttime Christmas parade when we saw our mountain burning. Beyond shocked. It was discovered a camper went of the marked tenting areas and camped out in the woods. They left an unattended fire which then caused a huge fire. Estimated to have burned over 900 acres.
