Rocket Lab stock drops 25% after first launch failure in over two years
Rocket Lab stock fell in premarket trading after the company suffered its first launch failure in over two years in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Its 41st Electron rocket launch failed about 2 minutes and 30 seconds after lifting off from New Zealand.
The rocket was carrying the Acadia 2 satellite for San Francisco-based Capella Space.

Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc. is an aerospace and space travel company, which engages in the manufacture of air and space vehicles, and the provision of spaceflight services for private individuals and researchers. It designs spaceships which can fly anyone to space safely without the need for training. The company was founded on May 5, 2017 and is headquartered in Tustin, CA. The listed name for SPCE is Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc.
