Amidst the ongoing homelessness concerns in Denver, a pop-up bar featuring a unique and unusual twist has surfaced in downtown. This isn't your typical tented encampment. Instead, it's an open-air tavern that's caught the eye of many. Here, lounging isn't restricted to garden chairs, but the homeless residents have made a Speakeasy-themed environment complete with lounge chairs, tables, and even astro turf. Oh, and did we mention the rentable tents allegedly used for...alternative business ventures? It’s almost as if Denver has taken a page out of Prohibition's playbook, but this time, it’s laid out on the sidewalk at 23rd and Champa streets. But with the police and city council aware, one wonders, just how far will this go? I mean, supporting small businesses is essential, right?
