Romans: Back to the set-day grind

The GREEK on verses 1 & 2:
I call you to my side, for all the reasons that I have told you of before, that you recognize the compassion of God and stand beside Him in your physical shell that holds your spirit and soul so that your soul can be sacrificed; that it may become sacred and pure... this is logical to God that you serve in this way. (12:1)

Do not take on the manner of life alongside the evil and dark world, but be completely remade into the identity of Jesus by making completely new the way in which you comprehend and have strength for everything. In this way, you will be able to test everything around you what is beneficial, what can be agreed with, and what will bring your salvation and deliverance race to a full completion in the book of destiny which God wrote for you. (12:2)

The purpose of Romans 12 is to set the standard for what it means to be a Christian. If you abide by the parameters of Romans 12, then the rest of Romans should be a breeze!
