Kevin describes himself as a 55-year-old man, originally from Newfoundland, currently living in Sudbury Ontario. I have moved around a lot, and have been involved in several trades over the years, from heavy industrial construction to mining. As a kid, my summer job was commercial fishery, and I was often 100 miles or more out to sea fishing for snow crab.
Kevin lives with severe and complex PTSD, and has tried most western medicine procedures and pills to try to find relief. According to Kevin " as a result of the western medicine stuff, I attempted suicide 6 times."
Kevin slowly weaned myself off all those pharmaceuticals and now utalizes only natural medicine to manage his condition and symptoms.
Kevin's greatest milestones with finding relief from his chronic PTSD came in the form of an Ayahuasca ceremony he says. So much so that he has attended several since that first enlightening trip.
Kevin has a dosing schedule that includes a host of natural elements. Nightly the use of cannabis helps him to sleep without night terrors and intrusive thoughts. Micro dosing mushrooms also helps Kevin greatly. These other added elements carry him through the months after Ayahuasca and are great for daily management, but Kevin has said "it was the deep spiritual work done through Ayahuasca Ceremony that has really helped me shift my attitude from suffering with PTSD, to living with PTSD."
"I currently work as a bus driver, and my employer is aware of my regulated use of cannabis as a medicine. We have a great little family here, and they mean the world to me. I am so glad that I am able to be the best version of me, so they can have a good dad. I am also a professional bicycle technician, and a part of my healing process involves riding and working on bicycles."
