For those who are left drained by others. Accountability is needed.

True love is accountability. Otherwise, it's merely tolerance. From time to time, we all have those in our lives who leave us drained. I'm not referring to children or certain others in your charge/care. Sometimes it's multiple someones.

These leave exhausted and empty. At times, they'll still take anything and everything you have as you're down and out yourself. Yet they'll disappear as you struggle, only returning when you're on the up again.

Some know full well what they are doing, for they take advantage of you and the light that is inside of you. Others are truly broken and do not have the knowledge or full knowledge of what they're doing. They're just seeking to get everything they can to help themselves.

Accountability is necessary here regardless of whether the person is a follower of Christ or not. The cycle cannot continue. you matter. you can help others, but boundaries are healthy. For you and them. God provides a solution for approach, establishing boundaries, and accountability.
