Commissioner Kiler states the current MDOT design is poor for the intersection changes proposed at MD 140 and MD 91 in Finksburg

Carroll County Commissioner Kenny Kiler made the following comments on September 21st during Open Session (text below is from a voice to text converter, so while not perfect…it should give you the major points of his comments)

“I went down to Finksburg to the state highways meeting for 91 and 140 essentially they have a very poor design solution to a problem down there and I think enough citizens were there who use that intersection every day that they got the message and they're going to hold another meeting at Sandymount Eelementary probably that'll be more of a town hall and more organized I think they knew I think they they learned in a couple days before it what they were going to see that night and I give them credit they could have easily canceled it that would have looked bad and I'm so glad they had it and people got to talk but if you're interested in 91 and 140 that's a very busy intersection please look out for the town hall meeting that the state's going to do”
