1Upcard Game Boy System Cleaner Cleans the Evercade VS?!?

Who doesn't love the Evercade system and the games? It is bringing back some of the best and most loved retro and homebrew video games to audiences in a physical, cartridge form for people to love and cherish all over again. If we have learned one thing over the years, however, it is that if you take care of your systems and games, they will last longer into the future. We have been huge fans of 1Upcard system and game cleaners over the years, so much so that I now am part of the company. When looking at the system and the games one day we noticed how similar the Evercade cartridge shape is to that of Game Boy cartridges. Then we thought we needed to test whether the 1Upcard Game Boy System Cleaner Cleans the Evercade VS home console, and I think the results will surprise you.

If you are unfamiliar with them, 1Up system cleaners are designed to be inserted and removed from your system and use a cleaning surface to remove built-up dirt, gunk, corrosion, and other not-so-good stuff from your system's pins. Before I grabbed a Game Boy system cleaner, I first grabbed my copy of Motocross Maniacs I just recently bought at the Utah Retro Game Swap. Upon trying it in the slot I was floored to discover that it fit in the Evercade VS! OK, now this was promising! Next, I grabbed the 1Upcard Game Boy system cleaner and, to my shock, this worked as well! When I looked at the edge of the cleaning material I was impressed to see the 1Upcard did remove some dirt from my pins! This goes to show you that even new systems can get dirty and need to be cleaned!

Next, I grabbed a 1Upcard Cleaning Card Mini. I love these things, the fit in everything and they don't leave lint or fuzz behind like a cotton swab will. I put a little cleaning fluid on the wet side, inserted it into the cartridge and, once again, I was happy to discover that it cleaned my Evercade cartridge perfectly as well!

We are working on adding compatibility for the Evercade VS to the product page descriptions of the system cleaner and the Mini Cleaning Cards. We don't have a handheld system to test at this time, but we'll test that soon.
