Coach Sarah Tompkins on NIL Undressed

the transfer portal has changed how coaches operate at the power 5 level but as you go down to the group of 5, mid major, DII, DIII we don’t hear as much. But today, we have Coach Sarah Tompkins, head women’s soccer coach at Eastern Connecticut State University. Not only is she the head coach but she took over for the winningest coach in school history, started in 2021 when all the craziness started. Not only has she managed it well on the field but her team averaged a 3.67 GPA winning the Little East Conference Academic Award. When she’s done with her day job she is the head coach of the U15 Olympic Development Program AND elite development program with Rush Elite in the U23 Rush Summer League. All that is awesome but as a player she did her part to help Tennessee Martin win back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference Championships AND a visit to the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament. Cheney, clearly women’s soccer is not my expertise, but I don’t think I’m venturing too far off by saying we may be watching Coach Tompkins coach the US Women’s National Team at some point.
