Conservative Talk: Human Indignity

The State cannot be a God deciding whether a person, even in the womb, can live or not. Life is a gift from God; freedom is a gift from God; the unborn child is a human being with rights. The right to life, liberty and the right to pursue one's own happiness do not belong to any state body.

O Estado não pode ser um Deus a decidir se uma pessoa, ainda que no ventre, pode viver ou não. A vida é um dom de Deus; a liberdade é um dom de Deus; o nascituro é um ser humano com direitos. O direito à vida, à liberdade e o direito de perseguir a própria felicidade não pertencem a qualquer órgão estatal.
