Yom Kippur, The Day of Atonement

None of the offerings in Leviticus atoned for intentional sin, it was on the day of atonement that the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and atoned for the sins of Israel. Confession and restitution was a critical component for the atonement of intentional sin.
