Family of 7 stranded on rooftop in Overland Park

A family of seven climbed atop their roof Tuesday morning to escape the rising waters in southern Overland Park. Fire officials said the family was safe and in contact with rescue crews, but they have to wait until waters recede to proceed with rescue efforts.
