There are 2 paths you can take with Amex Platinum Card authorized users (AUs). You can add Gold Card AUs or Platinum Card AUs, and the fees and benefits will vary.

AMEX PLATINUM CARD AUTHORIZED USERS – 2 TYPES
1. Add Gold Card Authorized Users to an Amex Platinum Card Account
- Annual Fees: $0 for up to 99 cards, subject to approval.

2. Add Platinum Card Authorized Users to an Amex Platinum Card Account
- Annual Fees: The first 3 authorized users cost $175 total | The 4th AU and beyond cost $175 each

NOTE: All Membership Rewards points earned by authorize users are added to the primary account.

- Available to: These work a bit differently. Both Amex Platinum Card AUs and Amex Gold Card AUs can use the credits, but they do not receive their own credits. Rather, there’s only 1 credit per total account, so both the primary account holder and all AUs share the credits.

- Up to $100 per user
- Available every 5 years
- NOTE: Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck
- Available to: Amex Gold AU, Amex Platinum AU (all users get their own credit)

- Up to $200/yr. | Issued as $15/mo. + $35 in Dec.
- Auto-added to your Uber acct.
