The PayPal Cashback credit card, issued by Synchrony Bank, is being relaunched with a stronger rewards program!

The credit card will now earn 2% CASH BACK on all purchases with no cap, PLUS 3% CASH BACK when paying with PayPal at checkout, including: online, via mobile app, and in-store purchases with PayPal QR Codes where eligible.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to access rewards daily, meaning the usual lag time of waiting for a monthly billing cycle to close won’t be necessary.

For REDEMPTIONS, you can choose between statement payments, making purchases with retailers, or transferring funds to a linked bank account or debit card.

There will also be a WELCOME OFFER of earning a one-time $100 cash back bonus on your first $500 spent on the card (timeframe TBD).

Lastly, if you already have the PayPal Cashback Mastercard, it will automatically receive the new cash back rewards structure. There’s no need to reapply.

This definitely seems like a new product positioning against the Apple Card, which earns 3% Daily Cash when you use Apple Pay with select merchants, 2% Daily Cash when you use Apple Pay everywhere it’s accepted, and 1% everywhere else when the physical card is used.
