Heye's the second of the three qualified persons running for Mayor of Skagway!

I remember the sadness I felt knowing that I was running against Orion. He's a great guy who has put in an insane amount of work in Planning & Zoning, and has sat at that table more times than I care to recount over the last number of years.

Orion's haters only have a few complaints about him and none of them are actually about the man himself and his stances on things. The guy is solid, and I mean that in more than a metaphorical sense. He knows where he stands on things, and when someone presents him a fact set that disproves what he thought to be true, he includes those truths in his judgement of a situation. While he's flexible enough to listen to any point, he stands firm in the financing of projects and has worked out a pretty good system of incorporating the category of "Random chaos that costs money" without passing off that cost to the citizenry. He likes to have parameters in writing so that the boundaries can be established, and when they crumble under the weight of chaos, he remedies the problem and finds a way to reach the projected end result with the minimum amount of agony for all involved.

He also built the skeleton of The Ark. Him and his crew made sure that our Mini Mansion was finished ahead of schedule and under budget in a time when the cost of everything was almost doubling by the week.

Much love, Bruddah. I hope that Skagtown chooses a realistic candidate, and no one has had to shoulder the burden of sitting in public office longer. The complaints and criticisms are abound, but the actual critique will be left in the hands of time. You have planted a good harvest. Skagway now has the option of choosing a local legend as our voice, and I wish you all the best in this venture.
