In this video, we’re going to take a look at bulletproof coffee and intermittent fasting. Does bulletproof coffee break a fast? Not necessarily.

Bulletproof coffee is a blend of coffee and fat, typically made with MCT oil, butter, or cream. Bulletproof coffee will not raise blood sugars in most people, so it technically will not break a fast if you’re doing intermittent fasting.

Oftentimes, if you’re wondering if something will break a fast, you’re also wondering if it will hinder weight loss.

Although bulletproof coffee doesn’t spike insulin, it can slow down your weight loss. This is because your body will burn the ketones from the bulletproof coffee as fuel. This will prevent your body from tapping into your own fat reserve and burning your body fat.
