In this video, we’re going to talk about the antioxidant phytic acid. Phytic acid is also known as IP-6(inositol hexaphosphate) or vitamin B8. Phytic acid forms a storage system for phosphorus in plants, bran, seeds, nuts, and grains.

Phytic acid is the component in fiber responsible for its health benefits. It binds with calcium, iron, and other minerals to prevent over-mineralization in the body. It is a strong anti-cancer compound and the most potent antioxidant on the planet.

If you have cancer, the destruction of your mitochondria is one of the first things to occur. Hydroxyl radical is a powerful oxidative free radical, created by the combination of oxygen, iron, and copper. This powerful compound has a severe damage effect to mitochondria.

Phytic acid prevents cancer by making iron and copper unreactive. If they are unreactive, hydroxyl radical won’t be able to create oxidation in the body.

Phytic acid is an excellent way to counter and neutralize the oxidative effect of metals in your body. If you’re already low on iron or anemic, you won’t want to take phytic acid.
